Intro

Nation is all about creating a Canadian board brand that it can call its own. Premium snowboards made in Canada using Canadian materials and pressed by Canadians. We are Nation Made.

Since the beginning of snowboarding, Canada has held a special place in the lifestyle. From our powerhouse domestic brands in the early 90’s to our influence on the culture through videos, print media and our pros making a mark on the world stage from smashing beer bottles on their heads in Whiskey to winning gold metals at the X Games and Olympics, for decades Canadian snowboarding has become iconic. People travel to Canada to visit our massive mountains and ride our deep and consistent pow. It’s a dream destination for many so it’s no wonder it spits out such amazing talent and influence in our culture.

We produce small batches of high-end boards in our Squamish, Canada production facility that’s wedged between the snow capped peaks of the Coast Mountains of British Columbia’s rugged West Coast and the Howe Sound fjord of the Pacific Ocean. Our backyard is the world renowned stomping grounds and sled accessed terrain of the Whistler Backcountry, Brandywine, Brohm Ridge and the Pemberton Ice Cap not to mention the North Shore hills Cypress, Grouse and Seymour that are less than an hour aways from our production facility.

Nation Made is a culmination of over thirty years of snowboard manufacturing experience bringing back hints of the golden era of Canadian snowboard manufacturing with an emphasis on sourcing only the finest Canadian raw materials and integrating them into a snowboard lay-up that is far superior to the run of the mill wet lay-up sandwich construction. Our process is centred around the Pre-Tensioned dry lay-up process that uses a fibreglass weave that is put under pressure, pulled tight and then infused with the perfect amount of resin creating a hard laminate that’s stored with tons of energy just waiting to be unleashed.

Board Tech.

PreTensioned Glass Construction

The foundation of our board lay-up, this Canadian material is pre-tensioned and pre-cured making it one of the strongest and lightest materials in the industry and completely eliminates the need for a heavy plastic topsheet.

PreTensioned Carbon Construction

If ultra lightweight perfomance is your concern, look no further than the pre-tensioned and pre-cured carbon laminate which saves a full pound of weight compared to a traditional wet lay-up construction.

Hybrid Camber

Take the lively pop of a camber board but loosen it up in the tips with a slight bit of rocker and you get our staple, the Hybrid Camber. Best for all mountain, freestyle and park riding.

Power Hybrid Camber

Slightly more camber between the feet than our Hybrid Camber and offset so that the tip has more rocker than the tail allowing the board to float better in deep snow.

Sintered 7500 Base

Hands down the fastest and most durable clear base in the industry today, the Sintered 7500 holds wax better, tunes better and takes a bigger beating than any other material out there.

Nano Carbon Base

When properly tuned, the Nano Carbon base is the fastest base material on the planet today. You'll leave your friends in the dust on those flat sections and traverses.

Canadian Aspen Woodcore

Don't fall for that shitty Poplar substitute, Aspen is lighter, stronger and has a superior deflection meaning that when the board is flexed, it wants to snap back to its original shape quickly giving the board unbelievable pop.

Canadian A-Tech Lightweight Woodcore

There is a certain part of the Aspen tree that is considerably lighter than the other parts. These sections are selected, sorted, cut and vertically laminated to create one of the lightest and liveliest cores ever made.

90A Durometer Urethane Sidewalls

The same material as a skate wheel, our 90A hardness urethane sidewall can take a beating while smoothing out those pesky vibrations on firmer snow that cause leg fatigue. It also adds elasticity to the flex of the board.

Canadian Epoxy Resin

Custom formulated for us right here in Canada to work in unison with our Pre-Tensioned laminate lay-up. Over 30 years of testing, this custom resin system makes out boards tough as nails and light as a feather.

Small Batch Screen Printed Graphics

We've been screen printing graphics on snowboards since 1995. It's harder and more expensive to set-up and it's considerably more time consuming, but we think it looks better and perfection is in the details.

Carbon Stringers

Snowboards that feel dead under your feet suck, so we spend a lot of effort selecting and placing composites that add life and pop to a board's flex making them more snappy and fun to ride.

It starts with the core.

Sustainably Forested Canadian Aspen Wood
Premium Selected Vertical Laminates & Fingerjoint Free
Ultra High Strength-to-Weight Ratio
Made Right Here in Canada

At the centre of every board lies its' most important component, the woodcore. Often bastardized with cheap and subpar substitutes, Nation exclusively uses sustainably forested, 100% Canadian Aspen in our boards. By far the lightest strength-to-weight ratio wood out there and completely fingerjoint, knot a sap free, kiln dried to the perfect humidity, then shaped on a computerized CNC machine to the perfect tolerance making them super snappy and lively under foot when riding.

Wet Layup Sucks.

PreCured & PreTensioned for Maximum Pop
Eliminates the Need for a Heavy Plastic Topsheet
No Lacquer to Chip or Crack
Made Right Here in Canada

This is not your run of the mill wet lay-up cloth glass that gets wet out with epoxy. That is a cheap way to mass produce lifeless snowboards. Our boards are made using a special process that weaves fibres into a machine under tension, then infuses it with a precise amount of resin, then cures it under pressure while still under tension. The result? A pre-cured, pre-tensioned ultra lightweight laminate loaded with spring and pop making the boards snappy and lively. Even better, this laminate eliminates the need for a heavy plastic topsheet making the board half a pound lighter and far more durable in the process.
